You’ve made it through the miracle of pregnancy and now you are in the newborn haze.
The best (and most annoying) quote you know right now, is ‘this too shall pass’.
People keep saying, it passes quickly - enjoy the cuddles, when you are just trying your best to breath.

Your at home newborn photoshoot will be a doorway in the future for you to come back and remember the details, the smells, the joys of having a newborn baby.

And for that baby one day to see the beginning of their own story

Let’s get to know each other

My Newborn Facts
- I was 9lbs 11 when I was born, apparently I was the easiest to birth out of 4 children.
- After a spinal block (read more here) I was incontinent for 2 weeks (eek!), no warned me of that happening.
- I also had water retention from the drip, this shows in a lot of my photos, and inspired this article, Too Fat For Photos
- At 3 days old I looked at my baby and thought ‘How am I going to get through the next 18 years?!’. Thankfully, it gets easier!
- Having my NCT group friends at the end of a what’s app message was a life saver.
- Tea tree oil in baths really helped me to recover from the 3rd degree tears. I highly recommend!
- Breastfeeding was hell on and off for 5 months. After that I wanted to get my money’s worth and fed child no. 1 to 15 months. Child no. 2 has just ditched the boob at 3 years. I still firmly believe maternal mental health is more important and so fed is best.

Do you dream of the cuddles you will have?

Before my first daughter I used to daydream of feeding her in a comfy chair and then with my second, I used to dream of cuddling her on the green bench at the local park whilst my oldest played. When these moments finally came, it was a great opportunity to see how far I’d come and what I had achieved.
What do you dream of doing with your newborn baby? That is a great moment to capture in your photoshoot.
